Sylva Movement Collective is an Ecstatic Dance community based in Western NC. Ecstatic Dance is a free-form movement practice which means there’s no right or wrong way to move. It’s about dancing, stretching, or just moving your body in a way that feels good to you—no choreography, no judgment, and no experience required. Come as you are, leave when you want. Every Body Welcome.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Sylva Movement Collective Events are offered by sliding scale with a suggested donation of $5-$20. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
We’ll start with an optional warm-up at 5:30 PM, where you can ease into the space and get comfortable. Then at 6:00 PM, we’ll have an opening circle, where we’ll set expectations, answer questions, and help everyone settle in. After that, we’ll have an hour of movement, which starts slow and mindful, gradually building in energy before flowing into stillness and relaxation. We end with a closing circle to reflect and wrap up together by 7:15 PM. Then folks who are able can stay and help clean the space until 7:30 PM.
Please bring a water bottle, comfy clothes, and socks (if you like)
